Subtlety and transgression
Just when it seemed that porcelain had been relegated to a mere utilitarian object, in the face of the material brutalism of contemporary ceramic works, quite a few artists have been reclaiming this material, despite or even because of the difficulties it involves, as it requires great expertise and precision in its work. The study of forms, combination of materials and constant research offer us surprising results: simple and austere, delicate and beautiful, and yet transgressive.
