Trees, an inspirational model for the circular bioeconomy
The first area presents trees, forests and wood and shows a tree as an inspiring model of the circular economy. It also reveals how man created various items and tools - at the foot of a tree, in the middle of the forest - which he needed for survival. We could say a “design without project”, meeting a few basic needs. But not only that, it also tells us how man was able to “design trees” as they slowly grew. In other words, man was capable of creating a design in a tree itself, during its growth, by controlling its branches and giving the necessary shape to the object, according to the idea in mind, achieving an alliance between the creator, man and material, the tree. In addition, part of the area is also dedicated to cork, on account of its features, given that the cork tree is the best possible example of the circular economy.
