Astrid Stavro joins Pentagram in London

The London studio, Pentagram, has recently announced that Astrid Stavro is to become a partner. The creative director of the Atlas design studio is the second woman to join the 12 partners of Pentagram following Marina Willer.

«One of the things that I am most enthusiastic about this challenge is Pentagram's unique culture, shared experience and knowledge of its past and present partners», said the Italian designer, who has extensive experience in brand identity, books, magazines, exhibitions and packaging.

We at the Museu del Disseny, know Astrid very well, since, with the Atlas design studio, she won the 2013 competition to create our visual identity. This work, characterised by its simplicity and the use of diagonals, contains some of the signatures of her style, one based on the refined application of ideas and a great typographic sensitivity.
