Dressing the virtual fashion museum from Google
We really enjoy collaborating on cultural projects, and when the project is a virtual fashion exhibition in conjunction with Google, even more so. From this June, we have started out on the "We wear culture" from Google Arts & Culture project, along with 180 other cultural institutions in New York, London, Sao Paulo, Paris and Tokyo. Would you like to find out more?
The virtual space makes a journey through more than 3,000 years of the history of fashion from around the world, with some very well-known cultural moments and places such as the ancient Silk Road, the fashion of Versalles or British punk.
And, of course, we have incorporated some of the most outstanding fashion pieces from the exhibition “Dressing the Body”. Notable among the more than 100 objects, documents, gigapixel images and online exhibits are the French court dress (1760), the famous creation of Mariano Fortun “Delphos” or the “Cua de paó” Peacock tail dress by Balenciaga, 1958.
Immerse yourself in the world and history of fashion by visiting the We wear culture portal available online at g.co/wewearculture or by downloading the Google Arts & Culture app for iOS and Android.
