A hundred creations by Claret Serrahima are already in the Museum
On 18th April, the donation of a hundred pieces from Claret Serrahima was signed over to the Graphic Design collection forming part of the Museu del Disseny's holdings. A selection of these will become part of the museum’s new permanent graphic design exhibition from June.
Claret Serrahima won the Laus d’honor in 2014 after more than forty years’ activity in the world of graphic design. Among the projects that he has carried out over these decades is the corporate image for Futbol Club Barcelona, the Teatre Romea and El Bulli Restaurant.
The selection of pieces he has given the Museu del Disseny are the most representative of his work, such as the graphic identity for the Musée d'Art Moderne in Ceret in 1992, that for the Year of Miró in 1993 and the image for Barcelona City Council in 1997. We also find more personal projects, such as the Universal Nightclub and Cultural Club, or the Cave Canis series of cultural publications, in which he collaborated with personalities from the cultural sphere to create small "portable museums" that take Duchamp's suitcase as their reference. A selection of these pieces will form part of the new display of the permanent graphic design exhibition, scheduled for 8th June.
