The launch of the lecture series for the exhibition “Design or work?”

Four months after opening its doors, and with the resumption of activities of the new academic year, the new permanent exhibition Design or work? The new visual communication. 1980-2003”  at the Museu del Disseny, begins a  series of lectures on graphic design.

Over four sessions, which will take place between 10th October and 7th November, renowned professionals from this discipline will talk about the era that is reflected in the exhibition, one marked by an extraordinary creative vitality, elation and celebration, and commonly known as «the design boom».

The first lecture will be on 10th October given by the curator of the exhibition, Raquel Pelta, and the event will include the presentation of the exhibition catalogue by Pilar Vélez, the director of the Museu del Disseny. This publication, like the exhibition, focuses on the work of the generation who had a leading role in the graphic design boom of the nineteen-eighties, a period full of opportunities in a world where there was almost everything to do.

Taking centre stage in the other lectures will be the designers Enric Satué, Pepe Cruz Novilla and Ricardo Rousselot.
