The museum in collaboration with the Photogenic Festival 2017
Dialogue Maria Espeus + Ouka Leele
El Born and the Vila de Gràcia districts will play the starring role in the third edition of the Photogenic Festival, the Barcelona photography festival which can be seen in more than 40 shops in the city. Once again, the Museu del Disseny is actively collaborating to promote the presence of emerging photographers and new talents.
The festival began in 2015 with the aim of promoting new photographic works and bringing these closer to the general public, encouraging the products of small businesses in Barcelona. Since this time, a network of photographic aficionados and emerging and major photographic talents has been created.
In addition to the 40 exhibits hosted in 40 shops, the festival also features parallel activities promoting photographic creativity: conferences, workshops and masterclasses. And as part of these, on 4th October at 7 pm, the Auditorium at the Museu del Disseny will host a conversation between Maria Espeus, winner of the National Prize for Culture and the Arts from the Generalitat de Catalunya 2017, and Ouka Leele, winner of the National Photography Prize for 2005.
