For the Museum Week, #ZoomIn on the Design Museum
Museum Week is a cultural initiative celebrated on a global scale. With the aim of mobilizing individuals around culture, making it visible and accessible to everyone, the high point of this year's edition is the role of women in culture.
One week to pay tribute to the forgotten women of our history books, who deserve to be known to the general public, to acclaim their contribution to the world of culture and to highlight the importance of education for younger generations, especially in those countries where there are still inequalities between genders.
The Museum of Design joins this cultural week with a photography contest where we invite you to enter the Museum's facilities and share your favorite exhibition pieces, spaces and perspectives with users around the world.
Taking part in the contest is very simple. To do so, you just have to share your photos on Instagram using the hashtag #ZoomInMD. You can visit the permanent exhibitions, play with the perspectives of the different floors and rooms, experiment with light during different moments of the day (or at night you can upload your images during the Night of Museums)... the only rule: it must be an image taken inside the Museum. The idea is to "zoom in" to overcome the architectural barrier of the building and to bring to life the culture, design, creativity and patrimonial background that lies hidden inside the building.
You can share your photos on Instagram with the hashtag #ZoomInMD until Sunday 19th of May. The following day, on Monday the 20th, a draw will be made to select the two winners of one of the two customizable gift batches we have prepared. Each batch contains a tote bag from the Museum, a notebook, pencil and one of our catalogs to be chosen by the winner - the availability of the books is subject to stock.
