What does the museum have for you when you get back from your holidays?

Together, this summer, we celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Barcelona Olympic Games, we enjoyed films, talks and exhibitions about David Bowie and we have seen how the collections and documentary archives of the Museum have grown with the incorporation of the Legacy of America Sanchez and the Tous design. But what surprises have we prepared for you on your return from the August holidays?

Bowie until September

You still have time to visit a unique exhibition: “David Bowie is”. What’s more, you can complement it with the parallel photographic exhibition featuring ten Catalan photographers who experienced at first hand the concerts Bowie performed in Catalonia. On 25th September both exhibitions will close their doors, so hurry!

The Adolf Loos exhibition

The call for a return to classicism by the architect arrives for the first time in Spain in the form of an exhibition. It will run from 14th December, 2017 to 25th February, 2018, and we will present more details about the exhibition when we return from the holidays.

The new school year

For many, the return from holiday is synonymous with the return to the classroom. At the Design Museum we have new activities and workshops for all levels. Check out the new programme of educational activities!

Ask a curator

We will always answer any questions you have about the collection on any of the social media networks on which the Museum has an active account. But on Wednesday, 13th September  it will be a special day thanks to the Ask a Curator initiative. On this day, you can raise any queries or ask questions about pieces in the Museum on Twitter.

Make a note of the activities and dates in your diaries: the end of the year will be full of design, architecture and exhibitions!
