Design and learning take centre stage at the new Design for Life Conferences

How important is the format, space or medium with which knowledge is conveyed while, at the same time, facilitating learning? How can graphic communication, architecture or audio-visual formats help improve educational experiences?

These and other issues will be the focus of the second edition of the Jornades “Disseny per viure” (Design for Life Conferences), held on 26th and 27th October at the Museu del Disseny, which are once again coordinated by the para-designer (as he describes himself) Òscar Guayabero.

Over two days, a dozen projects, concepts, strategies and devices, both local and international, relating to the use of design in education will be presented, and discussions had about the role of spaces and objects in education.

Speakers of prestige

Among the speakers at this year’s edition, the presence of the prestigious Dutch designer Rosan Bosch, an expert in educational spaces, is of particular note. There will also be a two-hander, with the philosopher David Casacuberta and the designer and researcher Rosa Llop, who will talk about interfaces and education.

See the conference programme here.

Admission to the conference is free, but spaces are limited. If you are interested in the subject under discussion but are not able to attend, you can follow the conference on Twitter using the hashtag #designforlife.
