The museum's «Picassos» travel to Denmark

Just a few days ago, the «Picasso Ceramics» exhibition opened at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebæk, Denmark, and has already become one of the best exhibitions of 2018, according to the New York Times. We at the Museu del Disseny wanted to contribute to the show with a selection of ceramic pieces from the signature piece collection.

It is not the first exhibition that the Danish museum has held on the artist from Malaga: this time the exhibition revolves around the ceramic production of Pablo Picasso, with pieces from museums such as the National Picasso Museum-Paris and several private collections.

Three ceramic works by Picasso housed in the Museu del Disseny have been added to the more than 160 pieces on show: two vases from early 1950s, made at the Madoura workshop, and a 1957 jug decorated with polychrome motifs. You can visit the exhibition from 1st February to 27th May.
