Insurance
Tin plates were used in advertising for insurance companies in the early 20th century: maritime, fire or life policies, which usually show their capital in order to guarantee reliability. The need to “protect yourself” grows along with increasing social well-being. This is the origin of modern insurance companies for facing unforeseen incidents that can cause major damage and the loss of personal, family or industrial assets. Originating in the 18th century, these companies and mutuals multiplied in the 20th century. The first Spanish general law governing insurance companies was passed on 14 May 1908.
