Show cards
“Show cards are a powerful addition to shop windows. They consist of posters printed onto cardboard and then cut out. They can be placed on top of one another, forming scenes that show the use of a product or its qualities. Show cards are sometimes used to make small dioramas showing the place where the products are obtained, how they are made, the uses they can be put to, and so on. Sometimes it is a solitary figure or in the form of a triptych or a simple poster, but in their execution, colouring and concept, they must always be wellpresented and carefully made. Show cards sometimes consist of a largescale reproduction of the product or the trademark, both of which allow retailers to make their shop windows more attractive, with a strong visual impact.”
