Machine Memoirs: Space
This immersive artwork inspired by the collaborations with NASA/JPL is a visual speculation of humanity’s attempts to explore the depths of space. It uses machine learning algorithms trained on a dataset of publicly available photographs taken by satellites and spacecraft to transform three separate space missions’ visual archives into a constantly changing artwork, just like the space archive is constantly growing. Space is a multi-sensory work of art to be experienced collectively and an invitation to consider the relationship between space, art, technology, and artificial intelligence.
